Immersion and Sony Make Up; NOW Can We Have Our Rumble Back?

Are you ready to rumble? Immersion has announced that litigation with Sony Computer Entertainment has ended and things can get back to business in putting rumble controls on the PS3. After much back and forth lawsuits between Sony and Immersion, PS3 gamers were the ones to lose out on force feedback on the PS3 controller. It's great news to hear that after Immersion's multiple attempts to settle things, the dust can now settle and PS3 gamers can soon have "advanced vibration capability."

"We are pleased to have put this litigation behind us," said Immersion CEO Victor Viegas. "Our new business agreement with Sony Computer Entertainment is specifically intended to enable advanced vibration capability for the benefit of the PlayStation gaming community. We are happy to provide our technology in this regard and hope to make technical proposals very soon with respect to use of our technology in the PlayStation products."

How that rumble is going to debut on the PS3 has yet to be seen.

Infinite Mixtape #53: Indian Jewelry: "Lesser Snake"

These Houston-based noise-rockers aren't easy to pin down. Having gone by no less than five other bandnames in the past-- including such mind-blowing monikers as Corpses of Waco and Perpetual War Party Band-- they've now solidified their identity as Indian Jewelry. And frankly, no one's really sure whether they'll switch it to something else on a whim if the mood ever strikes.

But at least for now, they're one of Monitor Records' freshest signings since Battles, and "Lesser Snake", the leadoff track of their new Invasive Exotics LP, is a shrapnel-spitting jawcrusher, pounding together mutilated, blustery guitarwork, ominous vocals, and the heaviest stomping tribal percussion this side of Liars' Drums Not Dead.

Anna Nicole Smith was finally buried Friday

Los Angeles (eCanadaNow) - Twenty-two days after her fatal collapse in a Florida hotel, curvaceous gossip icon Anna Nicole Smith was finally buried Friday in a melodramatic ceremony that reflected her life of tainted glamour.

The funeral followed a protracted legal battle over the rights to her estate and the body that made her famous and came after a last ditch appeal by her mother to delay the burial was rejected.

The bitterness of the fight spilled over in a eulogy by Smith's partner Howard K Stern. "The truth, there's only one truth, and it's not what people say in court, even if those people are your blood relatives," said Stern. "It's not what people who claim to be your friends say to the media."

The service took place under tight security, with the celebrity TV show Entertainment Tonight reportedly paying some 4 million dollars for the rights to the press coverage.
