| Work starts on Aliante Station
North Las Vegas Mayor Mike Montandon watched the earthmovers scraping the ground near Sun City Aliante just north of Las Vegas Beltway traffic. "I used to come out here and ride my dirt bike in the desert," Montandon said, minutes after tossing a shovel full of dirt with a silver-plated spade in a ceremonial groundbreaking for the Aliante Station hotel-casino. The memory was similar to those enjoyed by the Greenspun family when its members first took on the development of what would become Green Valley. Montandon, the Greenspuns and locals casino giant Station Casinos converged on the northern edge of the valley to kick off the start of construction of a $600 million project that will lead to Station becoming the largest employer in North Las Vegas.
Distribution Of Ray J/Kim Kardashian Sex Tape Halted
Porn giant, Vivid Entertainment, announced Monday (February 26) that they have halted the distribution of the Kim Kardashian/Ray J sex DVD, "Kim Kardashian Superstar."
According to Vivid co-chairman, Steven Hirsch, they've decided to put the DVD's release on hold until the company can set up a meeting with the Hollywood socialite.
"We feel it is most important that we have an opportunity to meet with Ms. Kardashian as soon as possible. We have reached out to her to try to set up a meeting," said Hirsch in a statement.
Although the DVD has been temporarily halted, Vivid maintains that they have "the legal right to distribute" the DVD, after purchasing the tape from a third party for $1 million.
Kardashian filed a suit last Wednesday (February 21) in Los Angeles, which may be the reason for the halt of distribution.

Santa Fe a southwestern delight

Model Sues Vivid Entertainment Over Sex Tape
(CBS) LOS ANGELES A model taped having sex with her ex-boyfriend, singer Ray J., is suing a porn company to keep them from selling the tape.Kim Kardashian, 26, filed her lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging violation of privacy by Vivid Entertainment LLC. She is asking for unspecified general and punitive damages, plus a court order barring the company from using her name and likeness "in any manner for any purpose."According to the lawsuit, Kardashian and the singer, whose real name is Willy Ray Norwood, videotaped themselves having sex various times from 2003-05 with the understanding the tape was to be for their own personal enjoyment.However, Vivid Entertainment announced in January that they had acquired the tape for $1 million, calling it "Kim Kardashian Superstar," according to the lawsuit.
