Regal Entertainment Group, the nation's biggest movie theater operator, said Thursday fourth-quarter profits last year fell 17 percent as fewer people went to the movies. The report followed Wednesday's initial public offering of movie theater advertiser National CineMedia Inc., which was founded by Regal, Cinemark Inc. and AMC Entertainment Inc. .

Ripley expands TV series internationally
Ripley Entertainment Inc. says it has agreed to extend Sony Pictures Television's rights to develop its syndicated Believe It or Not! television show internationally, using local hosts speaking the native language. The show was originally produced in the United States between 1999 and 2003 by Sony under license from Ripley Entertainment. It consists of 88, one-hour episodes hosted by actor Dean Cain which originally aired on the TBS network. .
